Yes, I believe so. Well, most information about the crash mentions that Cecilie went into labour during or immediately after the crash, as in the David Duff book Hessian Tapestry, and it is mentioned in this archived Time Magazine article here which I'm going to add as a source to this page. This one mentions an emergency landing in the fog, and another paper I've read (cannot remember if it was the NY Times or something else) put forth the theory that Cecilie had gone into labour and the plane was trying to make an emergency landing. Reference to Hitler salute at wedding[edit]

"A photograph of the funeral procession, showing Prince Louis as chief mourner, shows crowds saluting the mourners with the Hitler salute."

I think it is relevant to a British audience at least. Prince Philip's & Louis Mountbatten's German/Nazi connections have always been somewhat controversial (given their relationship to the British Royal family). Prince Philip's sisters did not attend his wedding because they were seen to be German Nazi sympathisers. This article describes the death of another of his sisters, in what would reasonably appear to be a Nazi context. Certainly I found it interesting for that reason. Baby makes 12[edit]

The sad discovery of the body of a baby in the burnt wreckage of the aircraft is used to bring the total number of passengers to eight and the total victims to 12. As far as I can see there is no evidence that the baby was actually born alive and our article on Princess Cecilie of Greece and Denmark says it was stillborn. Anybody have more information on this and do we need to mention the discrepency? MilborneOne (talk) 17:54, 6 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
