Painting image update - post-restoration[edit]

Hello everyone. I was last month (mar/18) at the Montserrat Museum and realized that the Saint Jerome painting is really impressive and much more beautiful than the image on the Wikipedia article. I noticed then that the image currently used in this site is from the painting before the restoration carried out by the Prado Museum in 2005. Nowadays, the painting is lighter and the colors were adjusted, with the removal of the old varnish layers. In addition, we can now see the rock in the hand of St. Jerome, which is a very important detail for the attribution, since there is a poem of Giovanni Silos about the Giustiniani Collection, published in 1673, describing a painting of St. Jerome with a rock in his hand, mutilating the chest. For this reason, I suggest updating the current image for the one in the Montserrat Museum website (http://www.museudemontserrat.com/img/imgTxtGenerals/michelangelo-merisi-da-caravaggio-1571-1610-S_1_1753.jpg), which reflects the actual appearance of the painting after the Prado restoration. You can compare both images and note the differences. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gcatharino (talkcontribs) 05:19, 13 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Well, i made the image change to reflect the currently situation of the painting. It's the closest to eye view (i saw last month in Montserrat). Gcatharino (talk) 06:28, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
