move to Samson (oratorio)[edit]

as per my project to unify the naming conventions amongs handel oratorios (discussed on Wikipedia:WikiProject_Opera a little bit ago), I will move this article to "Samson (Handel)" early next week. Any objections? Fred 16:20, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Abravanel's is far from the only recording. A quick and by no means exhaustive search shows in 2012 recordings by Harnoncourt and McGegan, and more than one by Leppard, including the famous Covent Garden production of the late 1950s in which Vickers sang the title role and Sutherland made her name as the Israelitish woman. There was also a recording under Karl Richter, made in Germany with anglophone soloists.Delahays (talk) 00:06, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
