Is there any reason "Shichinin no samurai," "The Seven Samurai" isn't referenced here?

There was this live-action TV series about samurai that I saw on a minor broadcast network at least during 1997. The opening scenes always shows the shogun main charcter riding a horse in the surf with Mt. Fuji in the background and a distinctive grand soundrack playing. Like in every episode the group of bad guys meets the lone shogun and they accuse him of being a imposter. They ask him to commit ritual suicide and when he doesn't they attack him and he breaks out his sword and summarily chops everyone to pieces (well not literally, this is probably about PG-ish) while the grand theme song plays. So does anybody remember the name of this show? 72.231.18.127 13:08, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
