Talk:Scherrer Equation

The subscript hkl does not belong after the β, L and θ in the Scherrer equation. The peak broadening (beta), crystallite size (L) and Bragg angle (theta) are all independent of the Miller indices (hkl). The equation is stated correctly in Shape factor (X-ray diffraction), with references. The references use τ (tau) instead of L for the crystallite size. The title here should be Scherrer equation, with a lower-case e on equation, instead of Scherrer Equation. Could this page be combined with or redirected to Shape factor (X-ray diffraction)? His Manliness (talk) 22:45, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

I do support this. Besides Shape factor (X-ray diffraction) is much better written.NIMSoffice (talk) 06:45, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
