Why cattle?[edit]

It is difficult to settle down permanently - to become sedentary, in any landscape without on-site agricultural or cattle breeding resources...

Does it have to be cattle? Wouldn't sheep work just as well? Rissa (talk) 20:16, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Forced sedentism Opinion[edit]

The ongoing destruction of nomadic peoples' way of life constitutes a decline in human diversity, contributing to the hegemony of westernized civilization, which interestingly is contradictory to certain western governments' political doctrine of tolerance.

This entire portion of the article, Forced sedentism paragraph 2 sentence 3, is opinion based, and biased. It assumes that "westernized civilizations" main goal is hegemony and not factual in any sort. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.67.51.90 (talk) 03:28, 29 November 2011 (UTC)
