Subaerial oceanic crust on Iceland[edit]

Isn't the entire island of Iceland subaerial oceanic crust as well? In addition to the Red Sea rift?--Bmonne 07:04, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

It's very unusual oceanic crust, there's also a suggestion that there is a fragment of continental crust under there as well. Having said that, I think that the 'Lithospheric stretching' section could do with a rewrite. I'll try to find time to have a look at this. Mikenorton (talk) 19:09, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

Can Basins be man-made because we have a biocontrol basin that takes out sediment near our house and I can put a picture in. Talvinlee (talk) 05:03, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

Merge into Structural basin?[edit]

Should be considered, as the topics overlap, and this article needs work anyway. Thoughts? --Pete Tillman (talk) 07:03, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
