Necessary amendment[edit]

"In 2005, Chandrashekhar Khare published a proof of the level 1 Serre conjecture, and later a proof of the conjecture for odd conductor" needs to be amended, since Khare worked with Wintenberger. They have two papers called "Serre's modularity conjecture" 1 and 2.

I added it. I encourage you, if you read this comment, to do this sort of thing yourself. There isn't some kind of central authority here that you're complaining to, and if you know this information, you can just as easily put it in the article as on the talk page. As an uneducated observer, I noticed that the main article does not clarify what is meant by the "levels" of the conjecture. This means the reference to the "proof of the level 1 Serre conjecture" lacks context. Manning 14:59, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
