I am contesting the speedy deletion nomination as Shane O'Connor competed in the 2010 Winter Olympics for Ireland. This makes him eligable for inclusion under generally accepted practices and specifically under WP:ATH#Olympic_and_Paralympic_Games, which states that "Athletes from any sport are presumed notable if they have competed at the Summer or Winter Olympic games"
