Apologies[edit]

This is my first article. Apologies for any mistakes - very grateful for any comments or improvements. Thanks! - Hongshi 09:10, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

This article was passed well before the current review process for GA's and currently this article is lacking what GAs should be expected to have today, including in-line references and a better structure to the article. I've put this article up on WP:GA/R for review. --Masem 23:07, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have decided to enact WP:SNOWBALL and boldy delist this article as it was passed before criteria was put in place. This article clearly fails to meet that criteria, however, should the article be brought up to standards, it may be nominated at WP:GAC. Regards, Lara♥Love 03:05, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My opinion may not offer much to the discussion, but as a practicioner of shigin in Japan I find this article to be highly accurate and informative. I could not see any places to add or correct any relavant information.Obakedake (talk) 03:04, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Translation of the poem[edit]

I have issues with the translation of the Chinese poem on the page, as the translation is not faithful. Who translated it? I propose to replace it. Denihilonihil (talk) 17:44, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it seems to be a quite literal translation of the poem, which ignores the layers of meaning often found in gin. I have a few translations I've written myself of various gin, but I don't think any of them are up to the standards of posting here. If you have any recommended translations please post them here.Obakedake (talk) 03:06, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why no Japanese example?[edit]

There is no link to a Chinese article, but only a Chinese example.
