Comments about station area[edit]

Shinagawa station and Intercity are over the border in Minato-ku, and probably shouldn't be discussed here in detail ('... serves Shinagawa...' fine, but detailed information about the local area should be on the Minato page if anywhere). (Also, I'm curious where the information about a new intercity subway station comes from, but no citation is given.) --210.224.135.130 (talk) 01:56, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The title of the page, 'Shinagawa', doesn't really express whether we're talking what people mentally consider Shinagawa (Minato-ku, around the station) or Shinagawa-ku (beginning south of the station and excluding it). They could be separate articles but neither would have a great deal of content, so perhaps the best answer is to divide this page into two sections for the two areas. --64.103.25.233 (talk) 13:33, 11 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Etymology of 品川[edit]

What is the etymology of 品川? Badagnani (talk) 01:49, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Obviously it's a river people were transporting things on. Shii (tock) 15:44, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
