Same concept; a similarity matrix ${\displaystyle S}$ on a set of points/objects {${\displaystyle x_{i}}$} can be defined as ${\displaystyle S_{ij}=s(x_{i},x_{j})}$ for all i, j using a similarity measure (function) s.
