Two SCTEs?[edit]

It appears that there are two entirely separate and unrelated organizations that share the SCTE name and more or less the same objectives:

  • SCTE Europe (founded in 1945, now 'The Society for Broadband Professionals') [1]
  • American SCTE (founded in 1969 as Society for Cable Telecommunications Engineers, which is the one this article is about) [2]

Would this be correct? The Seventh Taylor (talk) 11:25, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Verbatim text / written as an advertisement[edit]

The opening section is verbatim from the SCTE website and in general is un-encyclopedic https://expo.scte.org/about-scte/ 148.64.97.229 (talk) 21:45, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
