Shorter names in Spaceport template[edit]

Untitled[edit]

HELLO

This whole article is horribly outdated and a mere copy and paste of some age old report. It needs attention, almost full revision and updation. I have started with wikification of the article. I'll try further to update and revise the article.Voldemortuet 16:41, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So the article has been unfortunately tagged for copyright violation. I'll be adding a new, copyright violation free version on the subpage now. I hope that the issue also get resolved in the mean time.Voldemortuet 09:32, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What does copyright mean when we are talking of history and a statement of facts? Sure we can move around words but the statement would be the same. Does Suparco have any problem with anyone using facts from their site? It is a public organisation and such organisations do not usually have problem with using the information for educational research purposes. And where else is one supposed to get info on Suaprco except from Suparco website? Is wiki Admin being too whiter than white. 81.86.132.31

The problem is that they need specific permission or declaration from the website owners to publish the information. Actually in my opinion SUPARCO will have no problem with the data being used but the wiki admins treat all the cases as they are being applied with the US copyright laws. I have already mailed SUPARCO to send their permission to wikipedia. In other case I'll try to rewrite all the article. I have already started working on it. I hope others will help me in this regard.Awais 12:34, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Copy and paste[edit]

There is a problem of copy and paste: [1]. However, it may be taken care of my modifying the same and re-writing the same. --Bhadani (talk) 16:59, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Brain Drain[edit]

I think here should be a section for brain drain that is harming. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.227.123.31 (talk) 17:47, 20 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Brain Drain to where?? Usually most public space agencies employ citizens only(naturalized or native) and not direct immigrants. That is something for the Economy of Pakistan or Education of Pakistan pages. Daiyusha (talk) 09:37, 14 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Development of this article[edit]

Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle Project[edit]

Does Pakistan really have SLV capability to launch its space craft? If they do, then how come there is not an operational or well-equiped aerospace engineering facility in Pakistan, that Pakistani and the world are aware of? Does Pakistan have any Space Center to monitor its space probe? What is the Status of SLV in Pakistan?

I have upgraded the SUPARCO's page. And please do not reverted because if you guys need more information about Pakistan's Space program. They are already there in the reference sections. .User:Ironboy11 12:34, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article full of unreferenced claims[edit]

The reference in the the Human spaceflight Program doesn't even mention any accord between US and Pakistan for launching Pakistani astronauts into space. The PSL and SLV sections are unverfied. The Hypersonic Aircraft reference doesn't even have any info on that subject. The SLV section has a forum as a reference. Forums cannot be used as references on wikipedia. Overall, this article contains more unverified claims than truth. Please clean up the article and give proper references. --Johnxxx9 (talk) 12:08, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect English[edit]

Persons editing this article switch back and forth between British English and American English. This is totally inconsistent and unprofessional. Since the official version of English used in Pakistan is indeed the British version, please stick to that. Save American English for the article on NASA!!

Kslall8765 (talk) 11:51, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Further to my earlier post, in Pakistan they are the DEFENCE Forces, not the DEFENSE Forces. Only Americans say defense.

Kslall8765 (talk) 10:41, 9 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Um following the american convention is recommended, but following both in the same article is not harmful(but non-recommended). A unified standard is what we strive for, not each country imposing its own standard. Daiyusha (talk) 09:40, 14 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Page Merger: Astronomy and Astrophysics program of SUPARCO[edit]

"Astronomy and Astrophysics program of SUPARCO" page should be merged with this main SUPARCO page. IT contains a lot of redundant information already covered in this suparco page. Also, it just discusses one proposal from Yusuf Raza Gilani government, not worthy of separate article. If it has any useful info it should be merged with this article.Sohebbasharat (talk) 11:03, 20 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Sohebbasharat: on a quick look at your proposal I tend to agree, however, I have recent experience with the creator of that page, and that may cause you problems as they tend toward article wp:Ownership. (see recent activity at Chagai-I, and other related pages for example) I may take a closer look later. I presume the related noticeboards get a notification of this proposal. 220 of Borg 07:41, 29 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
As a member of WP:WPMERGE, I have performed this merge. We also may want to look at articles in Category:SUPARCO missions. ~Kvng (talk) 16:56, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

What liquid fuel rocket engine development has Pakistan done[edit]

What liquid fuel rocket engine development has Pakistan done ? Pakistani_missile_research_and_development_program mentions the Ghauri-III program but doesn't say what liquid fuel or how far they got. - Rod57 (talk) 14:35, 25 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

CN tags in Space Program 2040[edit]

Hello, @FoxtAl:, though I had figured out what you raised here, you should not put a plain CN tag next to a reference. Either completely replace it with maintenance template, a text note or a [failed verification] tag. Regards Aman Kumar Goel (Talk) 05:02, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Aman.kumar.goel: I decided to use WP:BURDEN. —FoxtAl (talk) 05:22, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@FoxtAl: WP:BURDEN would lie on me, but the information was easily verifiable if you had a look into the main article at least. Anyway, I have replaced with the better sources I discovered recently. Aman Kumar Goel (Talk) 08:55, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Aman.kumar.goel: Quwa.org [2] - is a blog source, run by a guy named Bilal Khan, Please remove or replace the source with a WP:RSFoxtAl (talk) 14:50, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
