Good day,

As a member of the Spartans Rugby Football Club, I would like to create a page for the club. I am putting together a page of information but just put the link down just to get it started. I must admit, I was not aware that a link on it's own would be marked for speedy deletion. If you can bear with me for a few hours, I will get some info up on the pages.

Kind regards

Page updated to show some club info.

Thank you

Spartans Rugby Football Club

Spartans RFC (founded in 1960) is a Rugby Union team based part way between Sutton Coldfield and Tamworth in Staffordshire, UK.

Recent Notable achievements:

Warwickshire Shield Winners in 2005 April 2005 - Spartans won the Warwickshire Shield, beating Marconi 9 – 3 and securing our first piece of silverware in the 15 a side game.

Warwickshire First Division Champions in 2006

Warwickshire Shield Winners in 2007 In season 2006 – 07 Spartans won the Warwickshire Shield again, this time beating Pinley 20 - 7

Midlands 4 West (South) league Winners in 2008

We ensure that the playing and training areas are maintained to a high standard throughout the year, and supported by Alpha Sports in Lichfield, our training equipment is in excellent order.

To support our rapid progress the Club has a policy of encouraging young players to join our growing junior section and develop our future playing strength. Any young players (regardless of experience) in the age range of u12 – u16 are more than welcome to join us on a Sunday morning.

On the senior side we are always looking for ways to develop the club and attract new players. The current 2008 – 2009 season see us running four adult teams with a game for all sides the vast majority of weeks. With a superb social atmosphere and central location, we are proud that Spartans continue to develop good strong and competitive teams as well as promoting the value of Rugby through its sportsmanship, friendliness and social side.
