The result of the move request was: moved. The article rightly explains the origin in unified China, but is focused on Taiwan. Suggested title does appear to be more in line with recognisability and consistency. DrKiernan (talk) 20:10, 16 November 2012 (UTC)

Special municipality (Republic of China)Special municipality (Taiwan) – Following the move of "County (Republic of China)" to "County (Taiwan)" and "Township (Republic of China)" to "Township (Taiwan)" 68.181.3.5 (talk) 18:34, 30 October 2012 (UTC)

  • Oppose Taiwan only applies to post-Chinese Civil War, this article says the ROC started using it in 1927, long before ROC became just Taiwan, so the new title would be wrong, since this article covers more than just the post-evacuation period -- 65.92.181.190 (talk) 06:36, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
  • Support. This title should be formatted to correspond to our main article, which is at Taiwan, and not ROC. There is a brief nod in the text to 1920s China, but otherwise the the focus is modern Taiwan. The article is dominated by charts and pictures which consider Taiwanese geography exclusively. Kauffner (talk) 19:36, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
  • Support. Taiwan is the common name for this country, the mainland china municipalities are no longer existed and should be moved to historical articles.128.125.8.189 (talk) 20:44, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
