Oppose: the topics are very distinct. One is about the use of light spectrum versus wavelength in astronomy. It's only theoretically related to the topic of spectral density. It would make more sense to merge spectral energy distribution into spectral power distribution, since they are both about light spectra. Apparently an old proposal to do that drew no comments, and was removed in Dec. 09 after long dormancy. Maybe this time we'll get some discussion? Dicklyon (talk) 01:01, 24 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose: I agree with Dicklyon (talk) - the topics are very distinct. A spectral energy distribution is applicable to all electromagnetic radiation (gamma rays to radio waves) and to sublight radiation (cosmic rays, neutrons, beta particles, etc.). These can be brightness (intensity) vs. energy distributions. Also, even neutrons and electrons among others have wavelengths. A spectrum is a breakdown of the radiation impinging on a detector.
