Travellers[edit]

no mention of it being home to the largest gypsy/irish traveller population in the UK?

I'd like to mention something along these lines, but I can't find a reliable reference. Does anyone have one? Warofdreams talk 19:16, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
I'm sure I've seen it referred to in an official Bromley Council report as the largest Gypsy/traveller community in the UK, if not in Europe, but I can't, just at the moment, find a reference. I will keep a lookout. CarolGray 10:45, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
"A strong feature of Bromley is the diversity of its area and its mix of communities. These embrace affluent communities as well as those in social exclusion around its regeneration areas such as the Crays (where there is the largest settled Traveller community in the UK) as well as Mottingham and Bromley Common". Great, thanks for finding that. I'll add the reference to the article. Warofdreams talk 20:09, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

Orpington[edit]

These retailers list their stores as Orpington branches. - This is most likely as the area is part of the Orpington post town. It probably isn't really that unusual to be noteworthy. MRSC 19:31, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

Had added my web address link which, although a commercial venture, is the only website which caters specifically for this area (along with the other areas of BR5). The web address is www.aboutmyarea.co.uk/br5. Jamiecwright (talk) 11:32, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
