Merge with Schmidt Sting Pain Index

[edit]

This seems to be the same values, so I propose a merge of the two. Widefox 17:22, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In fact, suspiciously so. How (and why) did two different entomologists come up with nearly identical scales, with point values 1 through 4? If one of them knew of the other, then there was no good reason to create the second scale. 70.20.211.100 (talk) 13:33, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Not at all suspicious - they worked together. Widefox (talk) 08:29, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Could they not agree over who got to name it, and resultantly both claimed it? I hope there's a friendlier explanation. -- What does the rest of the entomological community use? -- One of these articles seems perhaps destined to become a footnote in the other. Google results are inconclusive, as both appear to have published more on the topic; however searching the "exact titles" is only getting a couple of hits. -- Quiddity (talk) 01:00, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
