Potential additions[edit]

This article feels rather promotional and one sided at the moment, it may be worth mentioning:

  • Reactions to the statue from politicians and religious leaders in the cities where it was proposed to be installed
  • Objection/criticism by The Church of Satan http://news.churchofsatan.com/post/72592534502/oklahoma-monument-proposal
  • Criticism regarding the removal of female elements, as Baphomet is supposed to represent balance and "the equilibrium of the opposites" the decision to make it male rather than male & female in all previous depictions is not insignificant.
  • The statue is currently located in an art gallery in Salem, MA and guests can pay $10 to see it and have their photo taken with it. Seanbonner (talk) 12:54, 4 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Seanbonner: Thanks for sharing. Do you have a source re: Salem, Massachusetts? If so, we should probably update the article and add appropriate categories, too. ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:15, 4 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Another Believer:Yes, it's listed on the website for the Salem Art Gallery https://salemartgallery.com/map/ , the price seems to have gone up to $12 now and it says they are "closed for the season" though I'm not sure what that means, maybe summer vacation? Last time I looked they had opening hours posted. There's a whole page there on the statue as well. Seanbonner (talk) 05:32, 5 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please clarify[edit]

It's not clear from the current version of the article: is it still on display in Detroit, and, if so, exactly where in Detroit? If not, where is the statue kept now? Where exactly in Detroit was it unveiled in 2015? This is very basic information that should already have been included in the article. 173.88.246.138 (talk) 05:48, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Given its controversial nature and the often fanatical possible actions of a small number of individuals who oppose it, I would be surprised if its owners would want this information widely known, without financing full time security protection for it. Remember the Georgia Guidestones, considered offensive by a fringe element, were destroyed in an explosion after repeated vandalism for years. Thus the implied suggestion that it might be the publics right to know where they keep it is not rational. If its owners wish it displayed, its on their wishes. Hail Beelzabub, lol. Baphomet's index finger and middle finger[edit]

I noticed something while viewing the image, Baphomet has his index finder and middle finger raised. Does this have any meaning, and if it was clarified I'm sorry I missed it 2001:B07:A2A:1FB2:A986:673D:F31C:1EC7 (talk) 20:34, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
