Biography

[edit]

I'm pretty sure she doesn't have a younger brother by the name of Sng Yee-Phen. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 116.87.114.132 (talk) 14:13, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Teochew

[edit]

Sng lan-chu is Hokkien, not Teochew. We Teochews pronounce it as Sng yi-tse. So don't try to mislead anyone, (the culprit), please. Mr Tan 06:36, 23 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I doubt this was intentional. Please see WP:AGF. --Node (talk) 10:44, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup

[edit]

I have done some preliminary cleanup on this article. The previous version wasn't structured, and contained some very POV statements, which I have re-written or removed. Any further contributions would be appreciated. jamiemcc 21:33, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

COntroversy

[edit]

I heard speculations that the latest incident was another gimmick to attract publicity, citing a previous event involving an alleged kidnapping attempt. PErhaps someone could elaborate and clear the air on the article. thanks —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Shinzui (talkcontribs) 02:13, 17 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Please clean up this article. It is full of POV and publicity literature. It is against the regulations of Wikipedia. It just tries to draw traffic from Wikipedia into the fansite. Please remove this article and consolidate it with one single article for "Singapore and Malaysian Music"

About the song "Cloudy Day"

[edit]

It included the first 6 words from the song "Ti-o·-o·" but the song isn't in Teochew. It is in Min Nan (so called Taiwanese).

Fair use rationale for Image:One united people screenshot 07.jpg

[edit]

Image:One united people screenshot 07.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

"Sun's ability"

[edit]

I know that Stef, like many Singaporeans, can speak several varieties of Chinese, as well as several registers between Singlish and Standard English (usually, that's counted as one language when it comes to linguistic ability), but how are her abilities in non-Mandarin varieties of Chinese reflected in any single one of her songs besides Tian Hei Hei/ThiN O O? It is implied that they are reflected in many of her songs. Forgive me for not being up-to-date on her music, the last new song I have listened to from her is from several years back, but I am thinking she would've kept to her foundations as a Mandarin pop-artist, absent any evidence she has produced songs in "dialect". --Node (talk) 10:43, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
