Untitled[edit]

What is the source that Too Much Sleep is a remake of Stray Dog? It only seems to take the concept of a stolen gun. This seems to be the same reason that people said PTU is a remake of Stray Dog, even though the films are totally different apart from the concept of a stolen or lost pistol. Quite a lot of films use this device, and they are not remakes of Stray Dog. As far as I know the only actual remake of this picture is the 70s movie with Watari that takes place in Okinawa. I removed the Too Much Sleep remake claim, and added a little more information on the 1971 remake, such as who starred in the picture, and it's setting. Kinketsu (talk) 19:15, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Editorializing[edit]

"...gives the film depth"?!? Start a bloody blog if you want to write an editorial. Most of the other Mifune+Kurosawa pages I just looked at suffer from the same problem. Where are those vicious Wikipedia editors when you need them? 68.32.5.81 (talk) 05:19, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

Actual Stray Dog Dead?[edit]

I'll admit to being an animal rights activist as well as a fanatical Kurosawa fan. This film begins strikingly with the extended image (over a minute) of an obviously desperately thirsty, sunstruck, crazy-eyed dog. In written descriptions of the filming process, has anybody who knows ever commented on the survival (or not) of the actual dog? And yes, I'm aware that this would not have been of huge importance to Kurosawa —Preceding unsigned comment added by Younggoldchip (talkcontribs) 14:27,
