Removal of the Reliable Sources Box[edit]

There have been listed many sources and references I feel that meet the reliable sources request posted on the top of the page. This article touches on a generic base, preventing much "specific" references. The definition of the Student Government President varies at each institution. Rather than outlining EACH college/university, I feel the article neutrally defines the position well enough. I have tried to organize information, neutralize (so many people tried to claim themselves as famous presidents), and locate/list supportive sources. I added a "please see your college" note in the reference section to encourage interested parties to research a specific institution for THEIR definition of every detail. Are we game to delete the notice? I'll delete it myself after a while if no one objects or does it before me. Sirkevinalot (talk) 20:35, 1 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FAKE Famous Student Government Presidents[edit]

This article doesn't need protection, it hasn't been vandalized. However, some people keep adding names to the Famous Student Government Presidents section (either their own name or someone else's). I understand how a holder of this position might think that the world as a whole should know their name and reward them for everything (I used to be a SGP at a university), but simply "being" or having "been" a SGP does not warrant "Famous" status.

You must reference/source your name claim, and meet the Wikipedia notable rules. STOP ADDING A NAME AS IF EVERYONE WILL APPLAUD YOU. Thank you!  :-) Sirkevinalot (talk) 16:27, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
