I moved the page content added by 71.174.108.195 (talk · contribs) here. It is not very wiki-y by nature, and when I search for "swine", I don't expect to find this content. I doubt it's notable either, so I won't create the article Swine (band) where this content should actually be. --Bisqwit (talk) 10:11, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bio

[edit]

A musical group comprised of three Lexington, MA residents attending Lexington High School. Ben Berners-Lee, Ben Edelstein, and Noah "Stardom" Star started the musical experiment the would become swine in late august 2008. They are known in the high school community for the hit single "Bus Stop" for which a techno and instrumental version were released.

Influences

[edit]

Swine is influenced by mostly classic and, alternative rock but also everything from electronica to blues. Early recordings of Eric Clapton and Cream inspired Berners-Lee to take up guitar after a few years of piano experience. Noah "Stardom" Star, claims rap/hip-hop to be a strong influence in his career, and this is expressed in his various hop-hop solos.

Members

[edit]

Ben Berners-Lee picked up his fathers acoustic guitar and a young age and felt an immediate connection to the music of the past generation. A few years later he bought a used 1998 Fender Stratocaster and began guitar lessons.

Noah "Stardom" Star Brings a style and influence to the group that neither Ben's possess. Having grown up on Ghetto Rap, Noah is a born lyricist. The bass guitar is his job, but an open mic is his passion.

Ben Edelstein is a violinist of 10 years, with a passion for rock n' roll and the blues. He had never played the drums until one hot summer day when he got behind his first kit. It was magic. Berners-Lee immediately saw the spark and arranged jam sessions for the two musicians. This would eventually become Swine.

Disambiguation

[edit]

Made redirect into disambiguation page. Entries in no particular order, as some care more than I do but they don't all care for the same order. 69.3.72.9 (talk) 06:23, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor moved the disambiguation page to Swine (disambiguation), and I have changed the redirect Swine to Domestic pig. The article Pig is about the genus, and other species in the genus are not swine. Regardless of where Swine redirects, many incoming links to it need to be fixed. 69.3.72.174 (talk) 15:44, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
