Different Legends mentioning Taema[edit]

As Samoan mythology is actually rife with different versions that cross over to other islands in Polynesia, I've made the article clear that Taema is a name mentioned in different legends. i.e. It could have been a name used for different mythological figures. In fact, oral history has really declined in the Pacific, apart from the really popular famous myths like Sina and the Eel, and a lot of the myths and legends people talk about today is probably mostly based on books published by missionaries and Europeans from the 1800s. I've used as a main reference the the 1800's published book by George Turner, Samoa A Hundred Years Ago, a common reference book for Samoan academics and historians.
