Musings, suggest split

[edit]

This article raised some red flags for me for a moment, and I thought it was improperly named, but now I think it just covered a pretty esoteric (but interesting) subject. Pl wiki has no article on "Obrona Terytorium Kraju", but something like this seems to have existed. There are two articles that should be mergerd there, and this article's content seems to correspond to pl:Wojska_obrony_terytorialnej#Obrona_terytorialna_w_Polsce. Pl wiki seems to imply there is a greater concept of territorial defense, but I am not sure it is right - it may be just covering some minor Polish military terminology and imply it is global. Also, pl wiki has an article on pl:Wojska Obrony Wewnętrznej, and I'd suggest splitting the WoW material from this article (of which it forms over a half) into a new article on en wiki that could be ilinked to the pl one. The mention of pl:Wojska Ochrony Pogranicza seems of no relevance here, and should be moved to Straż Graniczna. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 21:29, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm also not sure about the mention of WOP, but there is a documented reference to it being part of the OTK structure. The reference could be wrong; could you find some Polish sources that indicate to which ministry/activity the WOP was subordinated during 1965 until the early 1990s? W. B.
