Remove reference to "Flint Southwestern Academy"[edit]

I went to school with Terry Crews and he graduated in 1986 from The Flint Academy which no longer exists. Flint Southwestern Academy is an entirely different school that took on an Academy title in 1988. --Dave Mayton (talk) 16:50, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a source to back this up? The Wikipedia article for Flint Southwestern says that the creation of the Academy came from the merger of The Flint Academy with some other school, but this information isn't sourced on that article. --Kzkzb (talk) 17:30, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This is odd: the provided source doesn't even say where Terry Crews graduated. Thank you for bringing attention to this issue. --Kzkzb (talk) 17:32, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Done I found a source backing up your claim within the article's references. --Kzkzb (talk) 17:47, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Removing references, redundant info box referencing "Agris Erlgis"[edit]

Unsure if this is a hoax, or good faith error, but how can he be born by that name with a father named T.Crews Sr.? etc. Please discuss here if I am in error. Thanks! Boogerpatrol (talk) 13:11, 25 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Causality[edit]

  • He has one grandchild, as one of his children is a stepdaughter from Rebecca's previous relationship.

I'm having trouble making sense of this. Are these simply two independent facts linked by someone who doesn't know what "as" means, or is the stepdaughter the mother of the one "grandchild" (step-grandchild?)? 67.87.17.81 (talk) 21:34, 22 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Cloudy with a chance of meatballs[edit]

This article lists that Terry Crews provided the voice of Earl in the first Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs movie, but I believe that he only did that voice for the second one. If someone can confirm that, we should remove it from his filmography. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.151.28.165 (talk) 22:11, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Acting career[edit]

I believe his role in Idiocracy, while not a commercial success, played a more significant part in his exposure as an actor and entertainer. It is only given a passing reference in the first paragraph, and not mentioned at all in this section. The only thing I can cite at the moment to support this sentiment is comparing search terms for his other notable characters.

Assessment comment[edit]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Terry Crews/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

I beleive that some of the information given in the biography is out of order. Terry participated in battle dome before being in the movie 'White Chicks.' 'White Chicks' came afterward. I would give the article a B-. Is he dead? I was unaware of his death. if he died what happened? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nisswafiredawg (talkcontribs) 03:52, 28 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Terry Crews's Gaming Hobby[edit]

Okay, so Terry Crews shows an obvious interest in the gaming world, he has played with Conan O'Brien. Maybe we could include a small hobbies section since it really shows his character in spending time with his son, so it could be a more positive edition to the article.

Sexual assault experience[edit]

I added the following, but it was removed by User:Ammarpad. It has received significant coverage; chose the most reliable, Washington Post. More importantly, Crews shared this experience because he wants it to be known. Similar to to his openness on pornagraphy addiction, his experience may encourage others to seek help. It needs to be included.

Following the public accusations of sexual harrasment by Harvey Weinstein, Crews made public through Twitter his experience of assault by an unnamed "high level Hollywood executive".[1] Crews said he was groped at a party in 2016. He thought of fighting back, but refrained since he believed the optics would not be favorable and did not want to be ostracized from the industry.[1] Crews said he understood and empathized with those that remain silent. He states that he shared his experience to deter predators and provide hope to those in a similar situation.[1]
I agree, it needs to be included.--A bit iffy (talk)^

Where are the football statistics coming from?[edit]

This wikipedia article includes in "Career NFL statistics" the stats "Tackles: 57" and "Assists: 38". It then points to NFL.com and Pro-Football-Reference for stats. The NFL.com page has no data on tackles or assists, and the Pro-Football-Reference page shows 3 tackles and 1 assist, which I'm guessing is also an indication of incomplete data. So, where do these numbers come from? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.12.184.6 (talk) 16:12, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Comments about BLM[edit]

Certainly there should be a section in the article about Crews's controversial comments about Black Lives Matter in the wake of the 2020 United States racial unrest? I'm not sure how much other media outlets have covered it but it certainly feels like a relevant controversy given the heaviness of the subject matter involved and the fact that they have basically ruined Crews's reputation among many who would have respected his personality otherwise? (see the whole Chance the Rapper fiasco on Twitter a few months ago when he endorsed Kanye for president but then took it back once Terry cosigned his statement, and a recently released Rick Ross song in which he calls out Crews for selling out to the black community) 2600:1702:10A0:6DA0:3969:DFA:60A2:2E20 (talk) 19:11, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Terrance"[edit]

Is there any documentary evidence he has ever been called "Terrance"? In the YouTube video cited in the article, he states that he is "Terry Alan Crews." Finding Your Roots didn't list him as Terrance either. Public records list him as "Terry Alan Crews." All Hallow's Wraith (talk) 18:53, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
