Post-retirement[edit]

Considering O'Reilly's reputation and influence, this seems (to me) to be a very "bare bones" and two-dimensional article. There is no question that his fame comes from his years playing NHL hockey for the Bruins, but what he did with his fame - in particular his charitable works with the Bruins Alumni - deserves mention. Assessment comment[edit]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Terry O'Reilly/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

A goal, assist and a fight in hockey is called a Gordie Howe hatrick. Everyone who has ever played the game knows this. To call it a Terry O'Reilly hatrick is wrong. Terry O'Reilly was a great player but please give credit where it's due. Thanks.
