not sure what the author was trying to say[edit]

"Also known as 'long horned grasshoppers' and 'bush crickets', of the Tettigoniids the term 'katydid' is more generally applied[...]"

This doesn't seem to make sense, and I'm not sure what the author was trying to say. Needs rewrite by someone knowledgeable on topic. --zenohockey 21:55, 18 Sep 2004 (UFH)

"This investment functions are a parental paternity."

This is sufficiently ungrammatical that I can't understand it to fix it. Adam1729 (talk) 03:54, 22 May 2017 (UTC)

Melanoplinae are missing[edit]

in the family list. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 163.47.106.101 (talk) 04:02, 24 January 2017 (UTC)

temperatures[edit]

That citation better be forthcoming because I just timed a katydid at 22 per 15 seconds on a night when the temp was 75, not 59. 100.15.117.207 (talk) 01:59, 17 July 2017 (UTC)
