Article created / split
[edit]This article was previously merged with Masters of Rock, but has now been split off into its own article. Some items left behind on the Masters of Rock talk page pertain to this album. --A Knight Who Says Ni (talk) 15:19, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
Fake edition
[edit]There are a lot of fake editions of this album, with different tracklist. Look here: ((in Italian)) Illustrated guide to the unofficial albums, counterfeits and fake, Fake The Best of the Pink Floyd (1) and Fake The Best of the Pink Floyd (2). I corrected the wrong trackilist, with the correct one --Kuviz (talk) 14:34, 18 December 2009 (UTC) Here in english --Kuviz (talk) 14:39, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
- Oh what a disappointment! I (re)created this article a year and a half ago when I saw "Best of" and "Masters of Rock" combined into one article ("MOR"), and thought they were different records. Based on your info, I think they should be combined again. The question is, which title should be used? "Best of" is the original, but "Masters" is more common, and is the name most users would look for. Perhaps it should be "The Best of the Pink Floyd / Masters of Rock", if that doesn't go against naming conventions. (It probably does, but this could be a justified "ignore the rules" exception.) The article should definitely be updated to mention the counterfeits (though I don't think its track list should be shown, as that could infer an advertisement for the counterfeit; bootlegs are not supposed to be listed at WP for the same reason, even though some editors are keen to include them.) Currently the article's prose does not match the track list, so that will have to change if nothing else does. I'll ask for comment on the artile title suggestion at the Pink Floyd Wikiproject. --A Knight Who Says Ni (talk) 07:51, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
