Today's boat race

Lead[edit]

  • I don't think I've picked up on this before, but in the infobox, is "2 and 1/2 lengths" a good way of writing it, or would "2½ lengths" be better?
Horses for courses really, I'll change this if you like. The Rambling Man (talk) 13:20, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • A little extra detail about the highlights of this raise, such as Cambridge's coach changes and the leader changing from Oxford to Cambridge and back again would be nice
Added some more. The Rambling Man (talk) 13:20, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Background[edit]

  • Same issue as before re defining the Blues and wikilinking the 1877 dead heat
Done. The Rambling Man (talk) 13:20, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Race[edit]

  • "There was fine weather, the tide was moderate, and the race commenced at 12.26pm." - might be easier to say "The race started at 12.26pm in fine weather with a moderate tide"
Reworded. The Rambling Man (talk) 13:20, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Although the Cambridge stroke Pitman" - as this is the first mention in prose, his full name (or at least as much as the sources supply) should be used
Frederick added. The Rambling Man (talk) 13:20, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Summary[edit]
