I feel all issues raised in this GA review have been fixed. The reviewer can decided now whether the article is passed or failed. --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 21:20, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Issues still to be fixed[edit]

Issues fixed[edit]

  • Merge the section Second Studio album and Alan Henderson departure (2008-present) to Nothing Means Everything (2007); per WP:LAYOUT
  • Add (good & relevant) info from Allmusic

Cannibaloki 21:29, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

    • Used Allmusic as citation for indie rock (Which is probably one of the more neccessary ones). Allmusic is also linked to in 'External links'.

  • Tell about their musical style and influences, lyrics.
  • Remove the tables on the discography section, and convert the info about charts on text, in the section Nothing Means Everything (2007–present)
    • I have converted the Singles table to a better format, similar to that shown on White Lies. This article passed GA with the table, so it should be good for this review. --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 14:31, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • You should add critical reviews to the band's albums, and do a copy-edit on the entire last section.
  • Do i need to add reviews to the album page to have their main article as Good, even though they are two different pages? Also do you mean copy-edit this article or the album's? --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 03:45, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • A copy-edit on the article, but you already is doing this, forget the rest! Cannibaloki 05:13, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Here they played, refers to most important places, and/or countries (on tour maybe).
    • Not too sure what you're asking for in this one. Can you explain it further? --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 03:45, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
      • Write in the introductory section about the most important places where the band played, a tour or something. Cannibaloki 05:13, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
        • Have reworded lead to "Since their formation, they have released one studio album, Nothing Means Everything, accompanied by three singles. After touring the album across the UK and worldwide, the band currently are working on their second album." --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 14:31, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Following the release of singles "New Ideas", "Clean Up Your Eyes" and "Stitches", the band released their debut album, Nothing Means Everything, in 2007."
    • In the discography section, says that the band released more albums than this writing here. You must rewrite this sentence, preferably in chronological order.
      • The album section only says that they released Nothing Means Everything, not sure what you mean. I've reworded to "Following the release of their debut album, Nothing Means Everything, the band are currently working on their second album". What do you think? --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 03:45, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
        • Since its formation, they released one studio album, accompanied by three singles, and currently are working on their second album. (or something like) Cannibaloki 05:13, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • I found this image, you should upload and put it on the article.
  • I don't think i can upload this image since I wasn't the original creator of the image. We'll have to leave this one. --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 07:17, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Again, despite having little or no material available at the time…"
  • Changed to "Again, despite having released little or no material at the time". This should fix the confusion. --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 07:17, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Two months later, In November 2006, the band released their first album through Lavolta label, an EP entitled Waiting for Go. The EP release that features the title track, as well as tracks "Things You Cannot See", "Feels Like Sleep" and "Dark Time", was produced by Jim Abbiss on the lead track, who had previously worked with Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian and Bombay Bicycle Club; and mixed by previous New Order and Kaiser Chiefs collaborator Cenzo Townshend. A video was also created for the lead track. [source? video details, please]

Sources 3 and 4 above check out against the statements, if you wish to check them. How is this? --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 03:45, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Source for VIDEO! If it covers, forget them. Cannibaloki 05:13, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • A week later, The Dykeenies would released its first single, the double a-side "New Ideas/Will It Happen Tonight?" one week later on King Tut's Recordings on July 17, 2006. They also recorded a video for the single. [and?]
  • Changed to "A week later, The Dykeenies released their first single, the double a-side "New Ideas/Will It Happen Tonight?". A video was recorded for the former [what former?] track, featuring the band playing inside King Tut's Wah Wah Hut" - what do you think? --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 03:45, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Following numerous headline and support gigs in and around Glasgow between November 2006 until March 2007, The Dykeenies announced a new single, their debut with Lavolta." On 9 April 2007, they released, on 9 April 2007, a new recording of "New Ideas", with previously unreleased tracks "Safe", "Simplify" and "Layers" featuring alongside various remixes as b-sides.

Is this accpetable? --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 03:45, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Add a section Members and subsection Former members, with details about what instruments they play, and since when?
  • Are you sure this is neccessary? The band members are mentioned in the infobox, with what instuments they play being mentioned in the lead. I've checked out Radiohead, which is a Featured Article, and this does not have a Members/Former Members section. --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 03:45, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Depreciated, now that you mentioned in the text about the departure of Alan Henderson, along the instrument he played in the band... Cannibaloki 05:13, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Why Alan Henderson left the band, and when?
  • Added "On 9 December 2008, The Daily Record announced that guitarist Alan Henderson had left the band, leaving over "musical differences". Vocalist Brian Henderson said that Alan was not seeing eye to eye on musical terms with the rest of the band.[10]" - source checks out as an interview with the band. How is this? --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 03:45, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • "The Dykeenies are a Scottish indie rock band from Cumbernauld, Scotland. Formed in 2005..." → "The Dykeenies are a Scottish indie rock band from Cumbernauld, formed in 2005."
  • "The group consists of brothers Brian Henderson (vocals, synthesizers) and Andrew Henderson (bass guitar, backing vocals), along with Steven Ramsay (lead guitar, backing vocals) and John Kerr (drums, backing vocals)."
  • All dates shoul be delinked, and follow the international format (dd-mm-yyyy).
  • "After winning the Your Sound competition, the band signed to King Tut's Recordings, a label created by King Tut's to project minor bands to more mainstream record labels."
  • "In September 2006, Following the release, the band signed to independent record label Lavolta Records in September 2006, alongside artists Fell City Girl, Red Light Company and Liam Frost and the Slowdown Family."
  • "After the more mainstream success of the recent single and EP..." (?) [sources?]

I'm awaiting the improvements. Regards, Cannibaloki 19:50, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
