Fair use rationale for Image:Alastair Reynolds The Prefect bookcover.jpg[edit]

Image:Alastair Reynolds The Prefect bookcover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

If someone could reinstate the image, that would be nice. Every other Reynolds book is being used under fair use.211.30.66.138 (talk) 05:10, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm teh same purson as 211- my IP has changed. Anyway, I have an account set up (which I never use for editing, just for other nonsense like uploading files), and I've put the image back up there with fair use rationale. Should be safe enough now.122.106.160.244 (talk) 23:55, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Plot Length[edit]

I removed the tag for the plot summary being too long. I think that the plot summary is fine. It is clear concise, and still relays everything essential going on in the novel.122.106.160.244 (talk) 23:42, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Vote weighting[edit]

The most interesting aspect of voting in The Prefect is not even mentioned - that its weight is altered on the long term, according to whether your vote was "good" or "bad". It's great social commentary on our system which doesn't punish its people for making bad choices, so I think it merits being mentioned. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.51.53.10 (talk) 16:33, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
