Sentenced to Death by Gladiator Fighting?[edit]
I think the idea of a chance for a fight with gladiators for someone who is sentenced to death is highly unlikely, even in those times. It is true that convicted criminals have been made Gladiators in Rome, but when someone was supposed just to be executed this wasn't made by a Gladiator fight. At least according to all the informations I have got from Wikipedia about Gladiators and the death penalty in History. Is anyone here so firm with roman history that he can say sth. about that and maybe cite a serious source? I think this should be mentioned here.--JakobvS (talk) 18:22, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
