Gender Section Addition Plans[edit]

Hello fellow editors,

I wanted to post a brief outline of the plans I have to edit the gender section of this page. Here are the edits I am hoping to make: In the introduction, I would like to add historical context to the issue. In the second paragraph, I would like to add another study similar to that previously cited. In the third paragraph, I would like to add additional information on parents so as to eliminate any perceivable bias existing in the paragraph. After the third paragraph, I would like to add examples of stores which are debating this issue, such as I added before (Target, Disney). In the end, I would like to add a concluding paragraph which discusses the repercussions of adding gender to toys

I have found that though I would like to, I am unable to add a section on the influence of color in gender of play, but I would highly encourage other editors to contribute on this topic.

If you would like to see further explanation or information on my plans, feel free to look at my user page, where I have posted my entire plan including citations.Lovinglearner User Page

Thanks so much and happy editing!

AIBO should be removed from this page[edit]

AIBO should be removed from this page, under the section "digital toys". Sony Corporation has strictly marketed it as a $2,500 companion robot made for adults. Poo-Chi and Robosapien are good toy robots to include under the digital toys section, but AIBO is not for children and does not fit in with this Wikipedia page whatsoever. Semi-protected edit request: Minor reword for number agreement[edit]

In § Safety regulations, second para starts "For toy safety, every country has its own regulations. But since the globalization and opening of markets, most of them try..." (my emphasis).

Either "its" or "them" needs to change for number agreement. Please replace the first sentence with:

"Countries have their own toy safety regulations."
