[edit]I wasn't sure if this was the same project, an whether or not to add its passage to the article.--Patrick «» 03:53, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- This development is more or less related, and is mentioned on the TDX website. Alothough overall the TDX has much more extensive and broader goals, for its proponents, this development represents more state-funded passenger rail service than at present and track and station improvements along one of the corridors within the proposed TDX service area, certainly seen as steps in the right direction. The new additional service is currently slated to be operated as a 3 year trial, and will basically will be an additional daily roundtrip on the current route used by Amtrak between Lynchburg and Union Station in DC via Charlottesville via NS (as well as a similar service between Richmond and Union Station in DC). 09:07, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- I've been wondering the same thing, given the absence (so far) of a name for the service. Mackensen (talk) 10:40, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

New station in Appomattox?
[edit]Will the Bristol-Richmond Line re-use the historic Southside Railroad (N&W) station in Appomattox, or are they planning a new station there? ---------User:DanTD (talk) 00:56, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
- I don't know that they've gotten that far and this proposal feels dead. It would make sense to use the ex-N&W alignment. Mackensen (talk) 01:13, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
