English Version[edit]

I happen to have an English version of this movie, called "Return to Treasure Island." I have wondered what the film was from, but I would have never thought Russia.

I have watched both the English and Russian versions of this film, and I can confirm that:

The live action segments were cut.

The character cards were cut.

Some dialogue was changed.

Some various Russian text was changed (although I think they lazily left some in)

Lede[edit]

I removed the mention of and comparison to "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" from the second sentence. "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" seems tangential at best to the subject of this article; Treasure Island was not attempting to do anything similar in use of animation and live sequences (which of course as a concept dates back to the silent era). The themes of the films have no close relationship. i know, they were like making memes about Dr. Livesey because of his nature, i saw someone putting the singing puffer fish on the stupid invaders page and they completely removed it. Ukrainian not Soviet[edit]

It's a fake, there were no such country as "Ukraine" / "Soviet Ukraine" in 1988: List of countries by population in 1989

The real world history does not "deny cultural sovereignty", it just tells the truth. The Colosseum was built by the Roman Empire, not the Roman Italy province.

Some scenes are similar to scenes from other cartoons. For example, so called Dr. Livesey's walk is in the American cartoon The Ducktators (1942)! Central figure is also a gigachad, the direction of movement is also "to the right". This is not my WP:OR.
