Number of the beast[edit]

The article dates creation to 1682 & strength to 65/coy; Sutherland says 1690 & about 100. If there's a solid source for the previous number.... TREKphiler hit me ♠ 14:04, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Suggest merger[edit]

There is no confusion to be made, it is exactly the same thing as Troupes de marine, needs to be merged. Blastwizard (talk) 21:40, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Translation[edit]

Shouldn't "Troupes de la marine" be translated as "Naval Troops?" the first line has it as "Troops of the Marine"Gaintes (talk) 01:02, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

clarification[edit]

What is the difference between Troupes de la marine and Compagnies Franches de la Marine? Both articles lay claim that they are the only French force in New France prior to the Seven Years War.--Hantsheroes (talk) 06:56, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
