Energy companies[edit]

I don't think that this page should be put under Energy companies. The company is just holdings of other companies although all of it's holdings are Electricity or Natural Gas related. Zerofire0 (talk) 20:23, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

There is a merger proposal tag on the The United Illuminating Company article and this UIL Holdings Corporation, e.g. placed by editor Zerofire in this edit. --doncram 17:53, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

  • Unique articles have been created for all UIL Holdings Corporation companies. They should not be merged. Please note conflict of interest: I am an employee of UIL Holdings Corporation.Edwardjcrowder (talk) 19:25, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
  • Against - I don't see any value in merging the articles. If anything, that's how details are lost. Best, Markvs88 (talk) 17:12, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
  • Against. I think the The United Illuminating Company is good as a separate article. It may naturally be developed to include more about the company's long history and other detail. The UIL Holdings Corporation article is naturally about a different topic, corresponding to the publicly traded security, of interest to investors. --doncram 17:53, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
