Judging from the characters used to write the word, I would have assumed 氏神 to refer to the kami of a clan (氏), and not to the kami of a place (所、処、場、など). What is the word for the kami of a clan, if not ujigami? LordAmeth (talk) 14:04, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed a whole bunch of text added by anon IP as being copyright violation. In particular it seems to have been taken from places such as this, this and elsewhere.
