Edit Request[edit]

This is my first edit request, so please let me know if I'm doing anything incorrectly.

I'd like to disclose that I have been compensated to make these edit requests on behalf of UnCruise Adventures. The purpose is to provide complete and accurate information about the company.

To begin, can you please remove Inner Sea Discoveries as the parent company because the entire company was rebranded as UnCruise Adventures.

The rest of my suggested content is as follows:


UnCruise Adventures is an American-owned, small ship, adventure cruise line headquartered in Seattle, Washington. The company offers small group tours and expedition voyages with a focus on adventure cruises in destinations ranging from Alaska to the Galápagos Islands.

Founded in 1996 under the name American Safari Cruises, the company has grown from a single vessel to a fleet of 9 ships, 8 of which are fully owned, and a majority sailing under the U.S. flag.

Company History[edit]

1996 UnCruise Adventures was founded as American Safari Cruises in order to provide small yacht cruises in Alaska.

1997 first operational cruises on the yacht Golden Mystique.

1998 purchased the yacht Obsession and renamed it Safari Quest.

1999 Dan Blanchard joined the company, he would later acquire the company in partnership with Tim Jacox. It was also the first year they offered cruises in Mexico’s Sea of Cortez.

2000 the company acquired and refurbished Safari Escape and expanded their offerings to include California Wine Country Cruises.

2001 Tim Jacox joined the company as VP of sales and marketing. He would later partner with Dan Blanchard in acquiring the company. This was also the first year the company offered cruises in Belize and Costa Rica.

2003 the company began offering cruises on Columbia/Snake River and Washington/British Columbia.

2006 the company’s offices were relocated from Lynwood, WA to Historic Fisherman’s Terminal, Seattle, WA.

2008 Captain Dan Blanchard acquired the company in partnership with Tim Jacox.

2009 Dan Blanchard launches InnerSea Discoveries Alaska Inc which purchased the assets of American Safari Cruises and continued to operate it as a separate brand[1]. 2011 was the first operating season of Alaska Adventure Cruises by Inner Sea Discoveries

2013 the company rebranded from American Safari Cruises + Inner Sea Discoveries to Un-Cruise Adventures. A later rebranding would remove the hyphen so the proper spelling is now UnCruise Adventures[2]

2015 UnCruise Adventures becomes the first cruise line to partner with Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch, serving only sustainable seafood.

2019 UnCruise Alaska sails its longest Alaska season ever with ships operating for six months

2020 Uncruise sails its shortest Alaskan season ever due to COVID-19

UnCruise Adventures engages in the following business practices to ensure responsible operation of their adventure cruises while delivering direct access to protected wilderness areas.

  • Purchase food and supplies locally
  • Serve only sustainable seafood
  • Partner with local people for cultural tours / presentations
  • Follow “Leave No Trace” practices
  • Purchase supplies with less packaging to reduce waste
  • Recycle wherever facilities exist
  • Provide eco-friendly bath amenities on board in refillable containers
  • Provide reusable water bottles in each cabin for guest use; no bottled water on board
  • Donate to local organizations

UnCruise also adheres to strict guidelines and codes of conduct in order to protect wildlife and habitat and minimize the impact of tourism on the environment. These practices are guided by:

Further, UnCruise Adventures partners with Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch® program which helps seafood buyers make choices that support wild, diverse, and healthy oceans.

UnCruise Adventures has also been recognized by The Passenger Vessel Association (PVA) for reducing environmental impact in a variety of ways, including reducing fuel consumption, conserving potable water, using less harmful chemicals near waterways, conserving energy, and working with their employees to create a greener workplace.

Starting in 2020, Uncruise Adventures launched a podcast hosted by Captain Dan Blanchard. The podcast covers topics including [[Sustainable tourism ]], cruise industry news, and how adventure travel can be enjoyed at any age. The show regularly features interviews with industry experts to discuss nature, cruising, the ocean, and adventure travel.

 Partly done: Hi and thank you for your request. Unfortunately most of your requests were promotional in tone and relied on very poor sourcing. Company History[edit]

UnCruise Adventures was founded in 1996 under the name American Safari Cruises. It was the first cruise line to offer scheduled voyages on luxury private yachts between Vancouver, British Columbia, and Juneau, Alaska.[1]. In 2006 the company’s offices were relocated from Lynwood, WA to Historic Fisherman’s Terminal, Seattle, WA. In 2008, Dan Blanchard and Tim Jacox partnered together to form InnerSea Discoveries, LLC which then purchased American Safari Cruises as a subsidiary.[2]

In 2013, InnerSea Discoveries and American Safari Cruises were merged and rebranded as Un-Cruise Adventures.[3] A later rebranding would remove the hyphen so the proper spelling is now UnCruise Adventures. [4]
