Transfer[edit]

There will not be a transfer between University Link and North Link. Those aren't designations of separate lines, they're designations of separate extensions of the same line. You will be able to ride one train from Lynnwood in the north to Federal Way in the south, and Lynnwood in the north to Overlake in the east. -- Alexseattle (talk) 06:04, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress[edit]

Reviewing later.—CycloneIsaac (Talk) 02:52, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • "6 minutes" - MOS:NUMERAL.
  • "The University of Washington plans to redevelop its parking lots along Montlake Boulevard into additional office and classroom space, due to their proximity to the station." For 2018?
  • Is the Rainier Vista a park, triangle, or a trail? That might need to be described on the first mention.
  • 24.2% confidence of copyright, not a big concern though.

Just a few minor fixes needed.—CycloneIsaac (Talk) 04:17, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

All done. SounderBruce 04:26, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

University of Washington Station[edit]

I see that at least one editor is determined to insist that this transit station's name is indistinguishable from the university to which it is attached. I would imagine that https://www.soundtransit.org/ride-with-us/stops-stations?station=University%20of%20Washington%20Station would be considered a reliable source to the contrary, but then, it's been a while since I've been active on WP, so what do I know? 168.8.192.22 (talk) 12:52, 19 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A map is evidence but is not the best possible source. Better is the source already in the article. The clearly visible sign on the station itself is further evidence. In any case, the University of Washington is obviously not a train station, so WP:USSTATION suggests the lead start with either "University of Washington Station is..." or "University of Washington station is...", depending on whether or not "Station" is commonly considered part of the proper name: "In cases where the word 'Station' is part of the proper name, it should be capitalized" and "In cases where 'station' is not part of the proper name, or is not usually capitalized in sources, it should be in written in lower case". But in either case, "in general, the station's name in the lead sentence should be the same as the article title". Station1 (talk) 17:24, 19 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
See the discussion at Talk:Westlake station (Sound Transit) from a half-decade ago. The entire system has to be on the same type of page capitalization, and the vast majority of train stations use the uncapitalized version due to these guidelines. SounderBruce 04:30, 20 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
