I think this guy satisfies WP:N based on the fact he's the lead voice in an Adult Swim series that's been on three seasons. At the very least, this needs to go through a proper AfD instead of just a template proposal. Torc2 09:07, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

notable for several reasons. this article just needs some love. Ky Music Nerd 05:53, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Daniel baker" the actor is the voice on Adult Swim, not Unknown Hinson, who is a totally separate character. Perhaps the article should be renamed to be about the actor, not one of his bands/characters, which seems to have no musical notability, no hit songs, no historical significance, etc??? this seems to be: a vanity page for an internet/concert persona....HOw about re-name the article?

The person is known primarily by the character, who definitely satisfies WP:N. He's gone on at least one national tour and has two albums on Capitol--either of these alone satisfies WP:MUSIC.
It's also not fair to say that the character and person are totally separate, especially in the case of Squidbillies. Unknown's web page states: "Unknown is also gaining notoriety (and fans) as the voice of lead character 'Early Cuyler' in the popular new show from Cartoon Network 'The Squidbillies'" although the show credits Stuart Daniel Baker; so the line between the character and the person is razor thin, and arguably doesn't exist. Interviews with 'Unknown' certainly read like Early Cuyler's dialog. I'm also really not seeing how this article reads like an ad. Torc2 08:59, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Many artists on wikipedia are listed under their stage names. "see Eazy-E, Tiny Tim (musician)". also, imdb.com lists "unknown hinson" as a cast member in the squidbillies and tv.com lists danny "unknown hinson" baker. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ky Music Nerd (talkcontribs) 15:59, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
??? i coundn't find any obvious connection. i did a google search and the only thing i saw was that the two have shared the bill at a few concerts. i cross referenced their concert schedules on their myspace pages, looks like they're scheduled to play at the same time in totaly diferent places. (unknown hinson - november 8 - orlando, FL) (danny b harvey - november 8 - copenhagen) ofcourse myspace probably isn't the best source. can anyone provide a reference or source that would confirm that stuart baker and danny b harvey are the same person?
on a side note, danny b harvey is certainly notable and should have a wikipedia article. also, unknown hinson, if he is danny b harvey, is still notible in "his" own right, releasing two major label albums, tourng nationally, and being the subject of multiple published articles. there are many artists on wiki that have seperate articles for their various projects. The gigs of which you speak were on the same date, in different time zones, but, using a modern airplane an artist can easily play a show early in Copenhagen, and also a later one in Florida, flying "backwards in time", into an earlier time zone. I have seen many artists have multiple shows on one date. Plus, myspace gig listings are hardly a way to determine someone's identity. I was under the belief this was common knowledge, but apparently, it isnt, so perhaps this should be ironed out before creating a Danny B Harvey article? Is there a way to verify stage names & their respective identities?

"(Stuart) Daniel B(aker) Harvey--Is there any source who said "they" were not the same person?" There's no source that says Marilyn Manson and Martha Stewart aren't the same person, but that doesn't mean we can assume they are. Torc2 02:03, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

as i mentioned before about the myspace pages, i don't concider that a good source. i used that example simply to raise a question. not to prove a point. my question was "can anyone provide a reference or source that would confirm that stuart baker and danny b harvey are the same person?". anyway, realizing that myspace doesen't prove anything i looked into more reliable sources. i checked the databasses of the major publishing rights organizations and found danny b harvey is registered with ASCAP as daniel bryan harvey under the publishing name "danny b. harvey music". unknown hinson/stuart daniel baker is registered with SESAC as stuart daniel baker under the publishing name "s d b music". publishing rights in the u.s. are always registered under the legal name and social security number of the writer and a single writer cannot be registered under two publishing names with two publishing rights organizations. "check it out for yourself"

may i also mention that discussion pages are not a forum for speculation. unless you have reliable sources that prove that the two people in question are the same, and would add to the accuracy and quality of this article, this discussion should stop here.Ky Music Nerd 05:12, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There ARE pictures of Danny Baker OUT of the "Hinson" makeup online... and he is clearly a DIFFERENT PERSON ENTIRELY from Harvey. I mean, just look at em, it's obvious. 66.56.204.246 (talk) 07:54, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you go to Danny B. Harveys myspace page, click on his pics, look at the With Friends album. There is a pic of Danny, Lynda K & Unknown Hinson...all 3 together —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.183.96.99 (talk) 03:01, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Squidbilles.gif[edit]

Image:Squidbilles.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Going to have to remove the fictional background[edit]

As entertaining as it is, the Fictional Background & Arrest section is unencyclopedic. If Mr. Baker's stage name is going to be his only entry of note on wikipedia, it needs to be treated as any other stage name. More important, it has to adhere to BLP. I've been trying to figure out some way to incorporate the info into the article in a meaningful way, but I can't. Actual stage material just has an extremely limited place in an encyclopedia...even with valid references, there could be copyright/trademark issues.

Redundant Paragraph[edit]

Pulled the following: "Baker also recently appeared as a member of Billy Bob Thornton's The Boxmasters during an interview on Canadian Radio. The interview, between Billy Bob Thornton and Jian Ghomeshi, did not go well from the start. Baker appeared to answer no questions during the interview." Infobox - Not inactive just because he was fired[edit]

Can we give the situation at least a little breathing room before we declare that he's done voice acting? "Cancel culture", despite the common perception, rarely results in long- or, in cases like this, where there is no suggestion of criminal behavior, even medium-term disruption to a performer's career. Give it a minute, people. 108.34.249.185 (talk) 23:35, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
