Tall Tales[edit]

I removed this material because it does not really apply to Venture Smith. He was a real person, not a folklore creation, and while being over 6 foot tall is tall, it is not beyond the reach of credibility.Leutha (talk) 15:28, 20 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"The narrative is the subject of some contention, regarded in many instances as "whitewashed" and inauthentic.
