Sourcing needed

Article tagged with {{primary sources}} and {{advertisement}}. We need to have independent sources for claims in the article, not just what the VVA says about itself; and the language should not be this brochure-like promotion, but a distillation of what third-party sources say is notable about the group. Adding controversy?

VVA runs the "curbside recycle" program. Over the last 3 years, they have apparently used shady accounting practices which have now been called into question by a dozen news articles, another 5 charity rating companies (would those be considered reliable - Charity Watch is the most detailed, Charity Navigator also backs up Charity Watch's Claim). Also, I know editors tend to lean away from "controversy" as a heading. A few ideas would be "fundraising scandal", "allegations of improper accounting procedures", "criticism of finances" and so on. VVA's program has increased from 69% to "fundraising expenses" 4 years ago to a whopping 86%. After a 6% "overhead", this means less than 8% goes to any vets at all. So, before I go putting in many edits, I'll leave this up for a bit and see if there is any ideas put forth on first labeling/heading a section and second, allowable sources. That the VVA's largest claim to fame is the curbside pick up of household goods - it would be prudent to mention somewhere that they never actually touch the goods themselves, but rather a for-profit company picks it up, sells it to bidders, keeps a large chunk of the cash and gives VVA some while VVA pays for all the marketing. In any event, I'll watch for any responses/suggestions and integrate those when I edit in a few weeks. An additional issue is that the BBB USED to list in the prior edits the VVA. However, they refused to provide the most recent tax year information (I suspect it was due to how horrible the BBB's Charity rating was). Can I use third party sources who had once quoted the BBB?
