Written a bit like an add.

[edit]

The article is a good one but, it seems a a bit like a brochure, havng gone to the cam fr the las 4 years I can validate, most of these things but that's not the point, (we can't say things have an amazing view etc. so I marked it with {{advertisement}}. Tennekis 18:46, 29 July 2007

Responding to copy edit request via GOCE

[edit]

I started on a major copy edit last night and will resume as time permits over the next few days. If anyone would like to participate just give me a head's up. Thanks. Dtgriffith (talk) 00:52, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Following-up

[edit]

I have worked through this article as far as I can. It lacks verifiable statements and contains some confusing language as a result. The copyedit request will be left on the article until further improvement has been made and final copyedit can be performed. I am happy to collaborate on developing this article further should anyone be interested, I happen to be familiar with the geographic area and even attended Camp Buckskin for a week in 1986. Just contact me on my Talk page. Thanks. Dtgriffith (talk) 17:30, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Need for article development

[edit]

This article is primarily focused on the camps operated by the Westchester-Putnam Council. I have a few suggestions on areas to develop:

  • What other activities or community involvement is the Council a part of?
  • Very little info is offered about most of the camps that are now defunct.
  • History of the Westchester-Putnam Council states the various mergers of the councils preceding its formation. The history can be elaborated on.
  • Many unreferenced statements need to be addressed.
