Re: "Out of his immense body of work, three have really stood out in the public mind: the master-planned cities of Irvine and Newport Beach, and the Transamerica Pyramid in San Francisco". While Mr. Pereira was the architect who completed the development of the master planned community of Newport Beach, the initial work and master plan was formulated and developed by Harry Evans Terrell. Mr Terrell laid out the plans for the community of Irvine Terrace and Cliff Haven as well as the Newport Beach Country Club. Harry Terrell hired an ariel photographer to plot the Irvine property and laid the photographs taken over a topographical map to plot the developments and draw the original plans. Mr. E. Terrell's involvement with the development for the Irvine properties was cut short due to his untimely death.
