Pictures[edit]

  • I got my crystal limited edition from best buy in windsor, ontario. It was not those two stores who exclusively sold them in Canada. I can take pictures of mine. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.105.55.17 (talk) 20:05, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
  • I think this article could be greatly improved by pictures of the special editions. Does anyone have these? Ace of Sevens 14:12, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

  • I totally agree, and I might soon do this - Troysteinbauer 02:08, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
Request granted! I choose not to add a Halo version, for I am not entirely sure of the differance between the Halo limited edition green, and the standard limited edition green versions.DeathSeeker 07:34, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Also, for the Kasumi bundle, the console itself didn't seem to be the selling point, but the body pillow instead. Should we add an image of the pillow?
The difference between the Green Limited Edition and the Halo Limited Edition is when facing the front, on the right side slightly to the upper-right of the Player 4 slot it says "Halo: Limited Edition". Hope that clears anything up. Cablekid 04:26, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
  • I'll try to take a picture of my Mountain Dew Limited Edition once I clean it up. --Jimmy Wang Yu: Version 2 (talk) 23:09, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Halo 2 revision[edit]

  • I've got a translucent blue Xbox bought here in Canada. I'm assuming it's the Halo 2 edition, but it's a revision 1.4, while the article claims they were all rev 1.0/1.1 Build date is March 24th, 2004. No one had opened it before me, and the hardware inside is unquestionably revision 1.4. I'd change the article, but this is all original research. Perhaps this'll still help someone.

Typo[edit]

  • What is "Production numbers seems 5000" supposed to mean? I would have fixed it myself, but I was unable to make head nor tail out of that sentence. 24.2.222.102 (talk) 23:52, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

50 Cent[edit]

Someone needs to fix that whole section on the 50 Cent Xbox. I'm not sure if there even was one, but I am sure it wouldn't have come with a Mama Luigi poster or be so heavily guarded. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.154.148.55 (talk) 08:50, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Tony Hawk Limited Edition console[edit]

I think this article must be incorrect regarding the release date for the Tony Hawk limited edition console... 2010 is 5 years after they stopped making the original XBOX...This doesn't coincide with the release date for Tony Hawk's Underground 2... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.16.22.18 (talk) 14:28, 25 August 2011 (UTC)

Launch Edition[edit]

There has to be more than 50 units, that is a bad estimate. I have 3 myself and know many other collectors with them, they don't even sell for much! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.42.17.190 (talk) 02:28, 16 September 2011 (UTC)

There are definitely more than 50. This was available for purchase to all the E&D people who had worked on the related systems, there were several hundred people in that group alone. And that isn't counting the Xbox group itself. I know 10+ people who have a "Launch" Xbox, the estimate of 50 is completely unrealistic. Changing the estimate in the article to "at least several hundred". --Cyberroach (talk) 04:16, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

I did some more research and indeed the estimate of "at least several hundred" is good. The E&D (Entertainment & Devices) group gave the option to purchase the launch bundle (Xbox, controller and some of the launch titles) to virtually all of the people that participated and contributed. Not just the core Xbox team but even to folks building the back-end infrastructure, including the IT systems in E&D and even some of the folks working on the shared MSIT systems such as SAP ERP and BizTalk. --Cyberroach (talk) 00:43, 2 July 2013 (UTC)

And one more comment: the launch console was definitely NOT just for "high ranking" members of the team. PMs, devs etc. all significantly below GM-level were offered this bundle. Not what I would call "high ranking" team members! --Cyberroach (talk) 00:48, 2 July 2013 (UTC)
