Tamara Patterson Barringer is an American lawyer and Republican politician. She was a state senator from North Carolina's 17th district. She received her BS in business administration and her JD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Barringer has sponsored a bill to eliminate class-size limits in North Carolina schools.[1]

Election results[edit]

Barringer ran in the 2012 election for North Carolina State Senate. She defeated Erv Portman (D) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2]

In United States elections, 2018, She lost to Sam Searcy by a margin of 50 percent to 47 percent.[3]
