Taroom Aboriginal Mission operated in Queensland, Australia up until 1927 and apparently had a troubled history including a strike in 1916, led by Aboriginal boxer Jerry Jerome.[1]

In 1927 Taroom was replaced by Woorabinda Aboriginal Mission.[2] Aboriginal people from Taroom Aboriginal Mission were marched some 300 kilometres (190 mi) to the newly settled location.[citation needed]

The Taroom Aboriginal Mission was a neighbouring mission of the Hull River Aboriginal Settlement which relocated to Palm Island.
